Male/Female High School GPA Comparison

Among college bound seniors in 2011, females consistently outperformed their male counterparts in a key educational index: mean grade point average (GPA). Nationally, female seniors destined for college posted a mean GPA of 3.4 compared to 3.27 for males. In Georgia, female college bound seniors had a mean GPA of 3.40, while males posted a 3.23. This result was consistent among all of the benchmark states: females headed for college in 2011 had consistently higher GPA's than males.
