Industry cluster data relies on a quotient calculation that measures the size of an industry in a specific geography relative to its overall presence in the United States. Industry segments in Georgia with a quotient of more than one have a greater presence in the state relative to the overall nation. The cluster data presented in the chart reflects the importance of computer facilities management, certain aspects of advanced manufacturing such as aircraft, computer distribution, internet services, software publishing and high-tech equipment manufacturing.
