Bioscience Payroll Growth (Benchmark States)
North Carolina led the benchmark states in bioscience payroll growth of 15.6 percent, more than double the national average. Georgia regained positive growth in this metric in 2011, but was the national average and two of the benchmark states. Florida and Texas posted declines in bioscience payroll in 2011.
