Southeast Region Average Dollars per High-Tech Venture Deal

The average size of technology venture deals in Georgia rebounded above the average for the Southeast region in 2011. The 2011 data showed the average deal size in Georgia was $6.6 million, while the average for the region was $6.1 million. After trailing in this benchmark 2005 through 2006, Georgia's average topped the region in 2008 and 2009 before falling below the region again in 2010. During the past decade, Georgia's average deal size has surpassed this benchmark for the region in six of the past 10 years.
