~ Columbus saw significant growth in population density in the latest census and forecasters expect this growth to continue over the next three years. This will increase the area’s population by more than double the amount of growth it experienced during the past decade.

~ The Healthcare industry leads employment in Columbus, with Accommodation, Food Services and Retail. Due to the Aflac headquarters located here, the Insurance and Finance sectors are also ranked in the top five for the area.

~ Though the presence of Aflac helped to make the Finance and Insurance sector a top performing category for employment in 2001-2011, Healthcare still ranked first.
