Cynthia Porter founded Porter Research in 1989 to address the market intelligence and consulting needs of the IT market. She has over 25 years of professional and managerial expertise in IT, including previous employment in executive marketing and sales with HBO (McKesson) and as the sales, marketing, and customer service officer with Medaphis (McKesson). Her most recent work at Porter Research has been to work with key clients to develop, redesign, rebrand, market, and message solutions to address the new emerging technology areas: security, mobility, interoperability, engaging consumers, payment process, and collaboration and coordination. Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology and chemistry from Arizona State University, and earned her MBA in finance and marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.


Julian Garza served as the Project Leader with oversight of all day-to-day research activities. Julian is a Market and Customer Strategist who has held leadership roles in Market Intelligence, Customer Insights, Customer Analytics, and Customer Experience at Bank of America, Direct Energy, Asurion, and MedAssets. Prior, Julian focused on sales and marketing strategy during his 13-year career within the Accenture Strategy practice. Julian holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and a MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin Graduate School of Business.
